Historic Event Organized by Brahma Kumaris at Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata
On the occasion of World Theatre Day and the 6th Ascension Anniversary of Dadi Janki, a grand spiritual program on the theme “Mastering Stability in Life’s Drama” was organised at the historic Victoria Memorial Hall, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and Brahma Kumaris Kolkata Museum.
In an Avyakt Murli of 9.3.1981, BapDada had said that Victoria Ground would itself be offered, and this divine statement became a reality when, on the occasion of Kanan Didi’s 13th day ceremony, an invitation for this sacred venue was received. In the history of the Brahma Kumaris Yagya, this was the first time such a program was held at this prestigious location, with participation from more than 700 brothers, sisters, and distinguished guests.
The program began with collective Rajyoga meditation, followed by a floral and uttariya welcome of the dignitaries on stage. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Sayan Bhattacharya (Director, Indian Museum and Secretary & Curator, Victoria Memorial Hall), who was also instrumental in organizing and successfully conducting this special event. He paid tribute to Dadi Janki and Kanan Didi.
The keynote speaker, BK Supriya Behn from Mt. Abu, said:
“Today the world is celebrating World Theatre Day… and we are remembering such a divine actor… who demonstrated stability in every situation.”
She explained that stability does not mean controlling external circumstances, but remaining internally stable—“I am not the role… I am the one who plays the role.”
She further added that a true actor focuses on their own performance, not on others’ roles:“What others are doing is their role…What I am doing is my karma.”
BK Jaya Behn guided a deep meditation experience, and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp elevated the spiritual atmosphere of the event.
Renowned dancer and social worker Alokananda Roy shared that she has learned in life that love is supreme, and love has the power to transform anyone. Through her work, she has brought positive change in the lives of inmates in correctional homes using music, dance, art, care, and compassion.
Dr.Binod Kumar Singh (Director,NATMO) also conveyed his good wishes.
BK Anjali Behn, Rajyoga Teacher, Kolkata Museum shared four powerful words of Dadi Janki—
“Share… Care… Inspire… Empower…”
and emphasized that to master the drama of life, these values must be imbibed.
A video based on Dadi Janki’s life was also presented, deeply touching all.
Shri Virendra Bhai (IPS, Former DGP of West Bengal and State Chief Information Commissioner) shared his experience that Rajyoga meditation gave him the power to overcome life’s challenges. When we connect with the Supreme, the soul becomes powerful and is able to face every situation with ease.
In the end, BK Munni Behn, Sub Zone Incharge, Eastern Zone Headquarters, Brahma Kumaris, Kolkata, in her blessings said that everyone should maintain pure feelings and good wishes for one another, as this is the true foundation of spirituality.
